JUMP ROPE FOR HEART WAS A HUGE SUCCESS!!

WE SURPASSED OUR GOAL WITH JUMP ROPE FOR HEART

Harpeth Valley students raised more than $7,800 for the American Heart Association during Jump Rope for Heart.  Our goal was to help people with heart disease and other related medical issues by raising $7,500. The students also worked to keep their own body's healthy by jumping rope, tinikling, and participating in other 'jump' activities during physical education class. They learned how exercise plays a huge role in heart health and over all well being of the body and mind.

Jump Rope For Heart Is Off To A Good Start

Our first week of Jump Rope For Heart is off to a great start. As of today we have raised a little over $1000 for the American Heart Association.
We have started our class competitions. The top fund raising class in each grade will be presented a flag on Monday morning and be allowed to keep the flag for the week. Each Monday we will check the class totals and award the flag to the top class of each grade. We will also have a large banner that will be awarded to the top fund raising class in the entire school each week. They will be allowed to take their flags with them as the go through the hallways to let the rest of the school know they have worked hard.
Each class will spend some time in the computer lab during the week to be instructed as to how to create and account online. If you have already created an accout for your child that is great, if not we can help in the computer lab. They will need an email address in order to set up the account, so just send that in with them on their first PE day next week.
Donations may be made through your email, Facebook and Twitter accounts. So feel free to attach a link to your social media sites.

We are  proud of our students for working so hard to help those in need by supporting the American Heart Association !! Keep up the good work!!
